Our great divide

This piece of poetry comes from Jonzz:

When you first came into this ’simple’ world
The doctor merely proclaimed you, boy or girl

Then in school people started fights
Cos’ your skin painted you black or white

Then as you ‘progressed’ even more
Your pockets will grade you rich or poor

Classes will split your friends into smart and stupid
Seriously, you wonder who’s the ones who’s rigid

Tall or short, skinny or fat,
Your body became unpleasant stats

Politics and religions, addictions and sex
Each decision you made paid a heavy tax

But at the end of the day
Irregardless by what truths you were bound
Your last grading will leave you in a box
Six feet underground
