Horseback-riding in Sungai Petani : school holidays!

It’s the school holidays again. Although it’s just a two-week break, I have to think of how to keep Joseph busy. There’s a horse stable just across the road from BLM in SP. We went to take a look at the horses and Joseph eagerly went for a ride. He loved it so much that he wants to go again… hmmm… he’ll probably like the idea horseback-riding lessons.

Hmmm.. shall I?

Hop on! Hello, Roxas!

Getting the hang of it.

When can we come again?

Where to learn. The good thing is, it’s cheaper here in good ole’ SP.

The only thing I got on a smelly horse (or pony) was in Fraser’s Hill donkey years ago.

Horse-riding is hardwork! I quit after 1 lesson - my thighs ached for a whole week. Anyway, your son looks like he’s enjoying the ride!

Well, I saw two horses in Bintulu, but it’s way too skinny for me to ride on…and the owner…is very skinny too…for sizes like me…hmmm….better get a bigger horse…haha…shiok lah…a lot of activities for the kids in your place…here no place for me to drop my nephew at…=(

The horse looks healthy and clean. I assume your hansem boy was not riding on his own but being guided by the man holding the horse’s rein. I am a bit of a skeddy cat, riding on such a high horse and next time hor, please let him wear helmet. I see osso sked lah.

LM, haha.. clever. I read that the horse paddock is still open in Fraser’s Hill.

Fibrate, wow that bad eh? I guess we’ll have to try it out and see.

Chelsea, there’s a zoo in Bintulu. The nearest zoo from here is in Taiping.

Judy, yup that was just a fun-ride around the paddock. You’re right about the helmet. Thanks.

It looks a long way down when you’re a little boy sitting on a tall horse.

OH! Joseph looks so brave and he could bond with horses. Teaching a child about loving animals - that’s gotta be priceless. Children of all ages should be around animals - we can learn to respect them more and learn responsibility.. oh and all sorts of things! I hope you will do it.

A very healthy sport in my opinion. The great outdoor and the love of animals.

Kucau, it was fun. RM10 for a ride. … chick? Too small to ride, eh? ;-)

Kat, you’re right.. needs a helmet. Going to bring his bicycle helmet. :-)

FH, the horse pangsai-ed today too. I think she couldn’t be bothered la.

Cocka Doodle, that’s what he wants to do on his first day out already… make it run. Haha.

Capt Picard, *gulp* today he got on a much shorter pony for lessons.

Yenjai, RM10 for a ride. Now he’s taking lessons for RM200 for 8 lessons.

SpringFairy, you’re back? He’s going again tomorrow at 6pm. Very excited already.

Zara’s Mama welcome.. and do drop by if you’re around. Drop me a line la.

Ahhong, adults are welcome to ride too… or big kids.

Sweetpea, yayy.. gained weight a bit during the holidays i think.

Simple American, he went “hiiiyaaah” when he started trotting the horse today. Loves it.

Thanks for the heads-up. Gotta watch out for it. Haha.

Annie, yes! we are.. started today. :-) I think he learned to be comfortable with the horse and being confident in giving instructions.

    just me yup! Started ard.
