I haven’t been to the Great Wall of China, but sure hope to visit it one day, before it crumbles! Have you heard? People are stealing bricks from the wall!!
Aiseh, your Steps more keng than Chen’s Steps!!!
hiyah cannot put up anything as my blog kena hacked. Sob! Sob!
how far did you manage to walk?
The nostalgic steps…
yeah, I visited the Badaling Great Wall in Beijing 5 years back
LOL at LB - mine is “local” steps mah, Bernard’s one is “international” steps.. of course his steps are more “keng”
hahhaha…
Woooottt….that far also can take photo???….who was at the opposite to help you with that?….hehe….=)
Magnificent pictures of a super structure.
Pelf, stealing bricks? Really? No respect for their own history. But I think it’ll still be there for our life time…
LB, haha.. but Chen has seen my steps and I haven’t seen hers.. *shy*
George, sorry about your blog.. c*l*k* mia hackers…
.. we walked about a km only la.. they’re all the same after that. I was a tourist.. not an adventurer that day.
Chen, yes.. that was the same place we went to!
Chelsea, can la… even photo of stars can be taken!
Capt Picard, its contruction is one amazing feat.
yr post is original..i saw no other doing the same take on the theme
are you sure this George’s site kena hacked? It just said his domain name expired. Did he pay? LOL, just making a guess. It might not have be hacking.
hiyah jonzz, if didn’t pay can always pay one meh! wouldn’t let it continue like this. Confirm with my friend lo this I kena hack.
reminds me of the meme i forgot to write - blog apocalypse - duh should have wrote it first.
George, okay, I don’t know if yours is the case but looking at the top right hand corner of your screen, it says domain name not renewed very clearly. If you were hacked, I don’t think you’ll get such a innocent med97um.net screen. You’d probably get a porn site or some “You’ve been hacked by some Romanian dudes” with some heavy metal music running in the background.
There are two aspects to website hosting:
1. Renew your domain address: e.g. www.george.net
2. Pay your website provider who gives you the server space to host all your email, web stuff etc.
When you don’t renew, that’s usually the screen you get. Not necessarily hacking. I am maintaining 2 websites for work and 1 for church. The last time I didn’t renew the one for church, I got a screen like dat until I renewed my subscription.
I could be wrong. But my question is, did you renew your domain name subscription and web services? If not, check with them.
Bengbeng, really.. yours is too.. but pelf has a photo of the longhouse steps too.
George, yup reminds me of blog apocalypse too. Haha..
Jonzz, da boss, Yenjai sez it kena hacked worr.
Bernard, looking at your steps… wah… those are really huge steps.
Err… this is bernard’s blog, we reserve it for bernard, ok?
(med97um actually has 3 problems occuring together, haha. No need to debate)
You took excellent photos that give me a great perspective on the size and scope of the Wall.
yenjai, thanks for clarifying.. anyway.. it’s ok la.. they’re talking about it here cos George’s blog can’t be accessed.
Meeyauw, the scale of it i guess
are you the ‘ean tau bah’ in light blue shirt n shades??
Sarah, ROFL.. no la… i’m the “ean tau bah” waving from across the parapet.
What is ean tau bah? Is that tauke?
Sorry Bernard
yenjai, “ean tau bah” is handsome young man..
George, no problem lahh..
I always wish to go Great Wall of China and see how they built the structural. Great post!
oh Great Wall of China! Why didn’t I think of that? I was there in 1992. Climb like mad to get the piece of ‘certificate’. Never gonna climb that anymore! pant… pant….
Kenny, spoken as a true blue engineer!
eastcoastlife, how about Mount Kinabalu? Want or not?
i see that oni i got palpitation and dyspnoea liao…
i also climbed the steps at Badaling…i think up to 4th station nia lar.
That is a lot of steps. Have they always had those steps there? How could they maneuver and fight on steps like that? It is beautiful none the less.
Mount Kinabalu?! Wah! pengsan!
eve, ok.. breathe in … breathe out … in … out… r e l a x . . . o k, d ?
nyonya, that’s great.. looks like most visitors go to badaling
Simple American, I assume that the walls are meant to provide a defensive position for the troops. The logistics can roll along the wall to move supplies between various points on the wall.
eastcoastlife, wake up! hehe.. my dad did it! You’re much younger, remember?
wah..great wall wo..
I haven’t been there le…
admiring le^^
Ahhong, do go if you get the chance.
If all goes right, you will be seeing me walking on the step next year. Keep my finger cross ya
Queen, wooohooo… going jalan-jalan again?!
