Something really pretty.. really this time
After the outcry from some of my buddies whose opinion was that what I posted earlier was NOT a pretty sight, I’m posting what I think should appease their appetite for pretty things. Well… it’s also to show off *ahem* some additions to my humble garden.

Purple flowers growing on creepers on the fence. This was given to me by Aunty PF

At last….the bougainvilleas or “bunga kertas” started to flower after 2 months… WHAT TOOK YOU SO LONG?

Dunno what these are called…
Well, at least there was some improvement in the garden over compared to a couple of months ago and the beginning.

Wahh… is the first one, morning glory???
Ahh..the bougainvillas…once they start flowering..that’s it..they never stop!!!!!!!
The last one look like tahi ayam flower ah? issit? EH! I’m not trying to be rude here ah!!!!!
needless to say, i had to close my eyes and scroll past the last post. so geli!
thank you. nice flowers. love bougainvilleas too!
Lovely flowers. Is that a purple allamanda (top one)?
http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/2071/
Dunno about the bottom one - how big a plant is it? And how is your grass doing? Funny I was just about to ask you to show a recent photo!
If busy docs have time to tend to their gardens to “coax” plants to flower ( even thought it took 2 months….patience, doc) I don’t know what excuse I should give myself…?
mott, err…
#1. i don’t think so… MGs bloom in single blooms right? This one came in a bunch.
#2. Will they? That’s great! I hope so.
#3. Yes! Aiyoo.. i forgot the name liao. Haha.
JT, you’re welcome.. how come so many people said they’re “geli” eh? I’ve got to do something about it
dobbs, err.. i went to see liao.. it’s not allamanda. This one creeps on the fence.
The bottom one is short and the plant is straight… about 2 feet tall. The grass seems to have stopped growing.. still some bald patches here and there.
I must be psychic, eh?
just me, patience is a virtue… there ARE other things that are taxing my patience as well… that’s another story.. hehe.
Are you growing a garden too?
You gonna fertilize your bougavilla with red color baja for blooming if you want it bloom like never ending…as for your grass…use green baja or organic to spread around…make sure you keep the kids out from it and bear with the smell for a while…hehe…
Wah Bernard, i like your garden, i like all those flowers, have sun flower? house have small garden, oxygen and air also fresh, is a good sign to have a good and nice garden.
look like the hse in my place la… U re in BLM also isit.. If so we share the same oxygen supply if we re to breath in BLM vicinity
maybe for the sake of the squirmish, for the main page or whatever it is call, just have text. the pictures are made available if you click that post.
have to kesian people like me-lah.
everytime, dunno what gory sights i will ter-see.
Don’t blog for others. Blog for yourself.
You are unique.
*sigh* *awww* This is nice!!! Pretty, homely, peaceful, stress-free, very conducive pictures, and that’s an awesome part of you, this gardening! Great! Great! I love green fingers.. I used to plant up my entire front balcony many years ago, and I miss all the grit, and pleasure.. Wunderbar!!
Hi Dr Bernard,
About your plant( bougainvilla ) , the reason is for the last 2 months it has been raining all the time. This plant need strong and plenty of sunlight and also fertilizer. Since you are from BM , there is a shop in Jalan Kulim next to the Shell Petrol Station, go there the lady can tell you what is best to enhance the growth and flowering needs for your plants.
Happy Growing
chelsea, thanks for the tip. i use a fertilizer called “megabloom” but the blooms are not all that “mega”.
Sin Ling, it’s nce to have some greens growing around the house.. nice to look at and feels cool. I didn’t plant sunflowers. Are they easy to plant?
Ray, yes i’m in BLM.
Re: oxygen.. haha… did you know that you’re probably breathing some molecules of oxygen from Julius Caesar in each breath you take? Assuming that since then all the air that he breathed had enough time in the past 2000 plus years to distribute equally in earth’s atmosphere. Amazing!
JT, that’s one idea… i did that for the previous post… but i thought that the normal ileum photos were cool and very “non-gory”.
titoki, THANKS! You’re unique too! I do blog whatever I find interesting… and whenever.
Just that… some people get a bit shocked by the images. I hope you weren’t
LB, yessss…. usually stress-free. I just do a bit of fertilizing, weeding and watering here and there. Have to get up a bit early to do it. And can do a bit of quiet thinking at the same time.
Don’t we all need those quiet thinking times!
Hello Aunty Ann, welcome here! Thanks for the tip! I was wondering what kept the flowers from budding ‘cos there were plenty of leaves on the plant. Haha.
I think i know which shop… next to Kim Sen school opposite the BM Baptist Church right? I will go and check it out
Bernard, thank you, thank you! What a pleasing sight! I think you must ask your son to wee wee on teh bougainvilla plant. That’s what my brothers and cousins used to do.
Ah, but warning ah, I am not gardener and I have not got any green fingers.
Wah, like that kind of pictures, I come more often and faster. Eh, next time got food or not?
Nice flowers, surely a nice enviroment. keep it up.
wow that is very beautiful. I wished I had my own garden
Judy, my pleasure, ma’am… wee wee can make bougainvilleas bloom ah? What??? How did you know they wee wee on the bougainvilleas? Were you watching??
Food? Perhaps.I feel conscious about taking a big camera are snapping food in public.. Taking photos of ppl eating is ok
mebbe a good camera phone is not so conspicious. hehe.
CSH, yup! I will try.
George, jangan jeles!
So nice flower what type ferterlizer you put? Off topic saat, Dr Chan if you planning to go for bloggers meet ah can you take pictures for me to see or not, I oso ask Kenny, in case one of you dun go at least I got backup.
Wow.
How you can find time to tend to the garden?
I mean … after taking care of Joseph…
FireHorse, it’s called megabloom.. urea fertilizer with K+.
It’s the school holidays, so i might go. I haven’t decided yet. If I do, definitely, I ‘ll bring my camera.
But don’t worry lah… there’ll be lots of camera there lah.
yenjai, aiyoo… i only spend half an hour a day.. mostly watering and a little weeding.
now these flowers are a surprise on yr blog.. a pleasant one though
The flower in the 3rd pic is called Balsam, Bernard…
LOL, I don’t think readers come to your blog, looking for pretty things. Knowing it’s your blog, I come to read interesting medical information and see the ‘gory’ but enlightening pictures. It’s cool. Don’t make unnecessarily drastic changes on impulse. Be yourself.
The purple vine is called the ‘Garlic Vine’. Smell it!
Bougainvilleas like hot HOT HOT sun, and good well drained soil. Do not use high Nitrogen fertilisers, you’ll just get leaves and more leaves.
Bengbeng, surprise, surprise… is that a new blog?? You surprise me! CelebrityFirst
FairyR, thanks! I googled “balsam”. You’re right!
jonzz, ALRIGHTTT MANNNN!!! HIGH 5!
LM, I was wondering when you were coming to share some of your wisdom about the subject!
Garlic vine! I see… ok, i’ll go back and smell it today.
My bougainvilleas are in pots at the edge of the porch. Perhaps I should move the pots out to the really HOT areas.
Thanks, man.
You are so welcome…it is just like Chinese New Year…open house waiting for visitors
Thanks, friend.
[…] I got this idea for today’s post from Bernard and Wuching […]
Maybe your “megabloom” is generic fertilizer or tipu one which is initially “minibloom”….hahahaha….expired kot?
You are most welcome, Bernard
I grew up with these all over my house garden, so I can’t forget that in a hurry.. Hehehe..
