Making the bed

Over the Deepavali weekend, we had guests stay over in the house. Joseph’s room was occupied, so he bunked in with me. As I took out the comforter from the closet, he insists on demontrating his bed-making skills. Gym training really made a difference in muscle strength for this kid… the comforter is heavy.

Making the bed

Tadaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!

And now he demonstrates his bed-messing skills…

Time to mess it up again

Getting tucked in with his favourite “bantal busuk” rabbit

a magician in training izzit? 1st lay out the comforter flat; then you crawl under the comforter from one side of the bed; then you re-appear at the other end with….. **drum rolls**….. a rabbit-busuk.
    **applause, applause**

Is your son born between July to August?

  7. Bernard October 24, 2006 10:40 pm

LM, no he wasn’t. He was born in January. Why?

  8. jonzz October 26, 2006 8:36 am

My son doesn’t have a granny to train him. Both grannies stay far far away.
Parents … sigh … parents themselves lazy bums.
Worst still, he got a maid to take care of him.

The result? He knows nothing about these basic skills…
    All his parents fault

jonzz, wah… what did LM “psyche” from you?

eve, no larr… how can admit sikit-sikit? sikit-sikit means admit already. achelli, this one is not my bantal busuk… cos…. my bantal busuk kenot give him lah… otherwise, how will i sleep leh? ;-)

yenjai, ya larr. why didn’t you teach him? Hehe… actually, he did it himself… i dun think the grandparents will get the precious grandson to make the bed.

  12. yenjai October 26, 2006 8:47 pm

bernard, that obviously is because … I myself is too lazy to make my bed :P

  13. Bernard October 26, 2006 10:33 pm

  14. CSH October 26, 2006 11:27 pm

Wow, great boy! Belajak dari mana tu?
My “kids” like to do things together with me. so i sometime got free maids. He.. he..
yenjai,u no need to be hardworking to do it in order to get ur kids to do it. just get them exposed, and u’ll be surprise how enthusiatic they can be. they may outdo u. ;-)
good to start early, make it fun and not as housechore. praise them, appreaciate their effort.
some kindy teacher actually teach the kids to do simple thing. i think it’s really good as most of family now having maid/s and some kids might growing up not even know how to fold their own clothes.

CSH. You are right, of course.
