Basic ambulance care course

The MRCS Penang Branch and the Emergency Dept of Hospital Pulau Pinang are jointly running a Basic Ambulance Care Course for RC members as well as some members from the St. John’s Ambulance and volunteer fire corps from Penang and Butterworth. The participants already have knowledge of basic first aid. They learned to recognise and handle the common trauma and medical problems encountered by ambulance crews, use ambulance equipment and the day-to-day running of an ambulance service. Thanks, Dr. Teo and his team from the Emergency Department of Hospital Pulau Pinang

Fruits Season

It’s now the tail end of the fruits season in Kedah. There’s nothing like enjoying fresh fruits right in the orchard. Last week a friend invited us over for fruits at the orchard. Nice selection of durian, cempedak and mangosteen. Durian and mangosteen season is now tapering out but cempedak is still abundant.

Durian - bittersweet

Mangosteen - this one is still a bit young
